Welcome to Dragón Ibériko!

We were born as a small family business of farmers specializing in the production of the tropical fruit Pitahaya, also known as Dragon Fruit. Since 2019, we have been working on our cultivation, increasing production and the different varieties of this fruit that is beginning to gain popularity in our country.

In Spain, Dragon Fruit began to be distributed only a few years ago, but the vast majority is still imported from Asian or Latin American countries, as it is a tropical fruit whose plant needs certain climatic requirements. Fortunately, the Mediterranean climate is suitable and very productive for the production of Pitahaya, so it is increasingly produced in warm areas such as Murcia, Andalusia, and the Canary Islands.

Currently, Dragon Fruit is considered as "the fruit of fashion" or "the fruit of Instagram," since both its exotic appearance and the attractiveness of its colors make any dish very striking and novel.

But most importantly, the benefits of Dragon Fruit are many for our body since its properties are a treasure from a nutritional point of view, including antioxidants, mucilages, ascorbic acid, and phenols; it is also a fruit rich in Vitamin C, containing also B vitamins, minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, iron, and high water content, vegetable protein, and soluble fiber. The seeds, also edible, contain very beneficial fatty acids for our health but undoubtedly, one of its most outstanding properties is its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant action, so it is logical to think that the WHO has recommended its consumption in recent years.

Since Dragón Iberiko, pioneers in the production of Pitahaya in the Águilas area, Murcia, we work with more than 11 different varieties of Pitahaya.
